BATON ROUGE - Nearly five months after the coronavirus placed him in intensive care, Deputy Charles Warren is finally going home.
Family members told WBRZ that Deputy Warren left the Baton Rouge Rehab Hospital late Wednesday morning. Though his hospital stay is over, he said he still has a long recovery ahead. I ll be doing some outpatient rehab and working on my lung capacity, Warren said after emerging from the hospital doors.
Warren was also moved to tears seeing his family and fellow law enforcement waiting for him.

After five weeks in the ICU at Baton Rouge General literally fighting for his life, and another four weeks in rehab trying to regain his strength, Valenti finally got his first chance to see his children, Jaedon, Tripp, and Harper in person.
