+ January 22, 2021 LOCAL government units (LGUs) and regional line agencies (RLA) in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) were sought to help in informing the people about the National Vaccination and Deployment Plan and highlighting the importance of vaccination in the country’s fight against the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
During a recent virtual orientation on the National Vaccination and Deployment Plan, Department of Health (DOH)-CAR Regional Director Dr. Ruby Constantino stressed that the successful implementation of the plan is “not only for ourselves but for all the Filipino people.”
Constantino, in a report from the Philippine Information Agency (PIA)-CAR, said the vaccination plan for the country is not the sole responsibility of the national government, reiterating what National Action Plan Chief Implementer and Vaccine Czar Secretary Carlito Galvez said that it must be a whole of government and whole of nation approach.

BACOLOD CITY, Jan. 18 (PIA) –- Bacolod City joined in the ceremonial signing of the second wave of private sector-led “Dose of Hope,” a drive where the national government accepts donations of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines through private sector efforts.
Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship Jose Ma. “Joey” Concepcion, Vaccine Czar Secretary Carlito Galvez of the National Task Force Against COVID-19, and AstraZeneca Philippines country president Lotis Ramin signed the tripartite agreement in a ceremony which President Rodrigo Duterte was keynote speaker.
“To everyone involved in the ‘A Dose of Hope’ project, I congratulate you in this achievement. To all who helped and continue to grow this tripartite partnership, thank you very much! We now have a weapon to defeat this virus - the vaccine. Let us win the war and save lives and livelihood,” President Duterte said.
