Republican-American 180 NEW MILFORD Joao Lucas, 39, of Danbury, died Sunday from an accidental drowning in Lake Lillinonah after falling due to uncertain circumstances at Lover’s Leap State Park, state officials said Wednesday. The body was taken to the Office of the Chief State Medical Examiner, where an autopsy determined he died as a result of drowning, not traumatic injuries, and the manner of death was accidental.
