In Northern California, a 67-year-old man suffered a medical emergency while driving his SUV and drove right into the Sacramento-San Joaquin River.
Luckily, Chris Arias was standing on the bank of the river when he saw the accident happen. Chris even heard the driver say that he couldn’t swim.
So, Chris made a split-second decision to jump into the river and swim to the SUV. He was able to get the driver out of the vehicle and told the driver to hold onto his back, as he swam back to shore.
Chris admitted he was “pretty scared” because of the current and the cold temperature of the water.
