Right now, the focus is on Parkade Elementary. The vote has been postponed two times due to the pandemic. Tonightâs vote is only about Phase 1 â provided relief for Parkade Elementary School which is overcapacity. The change to Parkadeâs attendance area would go into effect this coming school year, Baumstark said. The overcapacity that you re seeing at Parkade Elementary School affects between 80 and 100 families and that particular change will go into effect for this fall.
The board will also listen to recommendations and look at guiding principles for all other attendance areas. There are four possible scenarios, and each brings its own changes to the current zoning.

School district alignment to education and licensing board rules and regulations related to the provision of health services is critical. It is important to ensure that health services are accurately reflected in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), service provision documentation is logged and retained, and health service delivery is done in accordance with the health service practitioner s licensure.

All three of Eugene School Board s seats up for election this year are contested, with seven candidates appearing on the ballot.
Most of the candidates are newcomers, with the exception of sole incumbent Judy Newman. Whoever wins each of the seats will hold it for a full four-year term.
The Register-Guard sent all the candidates a questionnaire that asked about relevant experience, reasons for running and plans to make schools more inclusive. Here s a bit more about each of the candidates, based on their responses.
Since filing, Dakota James Boulette, 22, decided to stop campaigning and instead is supporting Maya Rabasa for the seat. However, Boulette s name still will appear on the ballot. Candidate Bryan Costa did not return multiple calls for comment.

PORTSMOUTH- After a successful Autism Awareness month, one area non-profit is asking for help to keep its operation running.
The Autism Project of Southern Ohio took to Facebook in April to share its financial situation. President Mike Bell and Treasurer Michele King said donations are needed to save their building.
“The pandemic has really hit us hard,” King said in the April 8 video. “We’ve not been able to fundraise, so we need to reach out to the public. We’ve always got so much support from the community.”
