Turning Points seeks volunteers in fight against homelessness
Sarasota Herald-Tribune
Turning Points, which provides, coordinates, and facilitates services to prevent and reduce homelessness in Manatee County, is seeking volunteers.
At Turning Points, the vision is to live in a community where everyone has an opportunity to have a home. Turning Point s services can only be completed with the compassionate work of our volunteers. Volunteers logged over 40,000 hours this past year while assisting over 7,700 men, women and children in need.
Volunteers are needed in several areas. The hours that are covered are up to the volunteers. Volunteers can come in a few hours a day or a few hours a week. A comprehensive tour is given to each interested volunteer and the positions that the volunteer is interested in, is fully discussed with the Volunteer Coordinator, Cheryl Hedger.
