BELPRE The Belpre City Schools Board of Education approved summer school dates and listened to presentations during its monthly meeting on Monday evening.
School Psychologist Assistant Michael Seebaugh gave a presentation about a new partnership with the Character Lab Research Network to help students with critical thinking which Belpre stakeholders identified as the highest priority in addition to empathy and communication, which Seebaugh said are hard skills to quantify.
The Character Lab is an association of schools and scientists working together to advance scientific insight that helps kids thrive while providing some evidence-based research, well thought out surveys and data to help the district quantity those needs, said Seebaugh.
