SEPANG (Bernama): Police personnel here came to the rescue of 14 occupants of a house at Taman Bunga Raya here as they had run out of food while undergoing quarantine
Acting on information from the sister of an occupant of the house who contacted the Sepang district police headquarters (IPD) at about 8 pm on Saturday (July 3), members of the Sepang IPD MPV Unit arrived at the house at about 9.15 pm carrying 16 packets of ‘nasi berlauk’ (mixed rice) for the occupants.
Sepang police chief ACP Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof said according to the information received, the occupants of the house were factory workers in Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi who had run out of money after being placed under home quarantine as some of them had tested positive for Covid-19

A team of personnel from the Sepang district police station has delivered urgent food aid to 14 glove factory workers under Covid-19 quarantine in one house at Taman Bunga Raya last night.
Sepang police on their Facebook page said they received a call from a woman at 8.10pm yesterday, informing that her brother - a worker at WRP Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd - had run out of food, along with 13 other colleagues and housemates.

Although he eventually made off with valuables and cash, the suspect was later arrested following a tip-off.
Hilir Perak OCPD Asst Comm Ahmad Adnan Basri said that during the 9.30pm incident, the suspect also hit the 79-year-old woman three times on the head when she screamed for help.
The burglar, clad in a black jacket and wearing a face mask, covered the woman s mouth with a piece of cloth and told her to show him where her valuables were kept.
ACP Ahmad Adnan said the suspect then fled with RM8,500 worth of jewellery, cash and a smartphone. The man tried to escape through the front door but it was locked.
