A 44-year-old man was arrested for alleged impaired driving after crashing in a parking garage in the middle of the night in Westchester and driving the wrong way down a one-way street.
An officer from the Scarsdale Police Department on patrol at around midnight on Sunday, Jan. 10 was checking the Freightway Parking Garage when he found property damage consistent with a motor vehicle crash.
Further investigation found a driver, later identified as Scarsdale resident Albert Cascio, driving erratically in the garage before going the wrong way in a one-way area near the structure, prompting a traffic stop.

A speeding driver in Westchester was found asleep behind the wheel and attempted to flee from officers while repeatedly swerving across the roadway, police said.
An officer from the Scarsdale Police Department on patrol shortly after midnight on Sunday, Dec. 27 spotted a driver speeding on Post Road near the intersection of Richbell Road while repeatedly swerving into the opposite lane.
The officer turned his cruiser around tracking the vehicle, which was now stopped, onto Murray Hill Road.
According to the officer, when he approached the driver, later identified as White Plains resident Juan Matute, he was asleep behind the wheel. When the officer knocked on the window to stir him, Matute allegedly attempted to drive away despite being instructed not to flee.

An allegedly drunk driver who was caught traveling on the wrong side of the road without headlights on over the weekend is facing multiple charges after being busted with a blood alcohol content nearly triple the legal limit.
An officer from the Scarsdale Police Department on patrol at approximately 9:20 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12 spotted a driver in the left lane on Post Road, driving with no headlights on.
When the officer attempted to stop the driver, later identified as Bronx resident Jasmine Ramirez, 27, the driver initially refused to pull over, instead, heading into the oncoming lane of traffic, police said.
