Man charged in five cases after alleged vehicle burglaries, financial card crimes

A California man accused of burglarizing vehicles and stealing financial cards and other items around Cache Valley has been charged in 1st District Court. Jordan Tymothy Aders, 30, made his initial appearance in court on Wednesday for five theft- and burglary-related cases all alleged to have happened over the past week. Aders faces seven felonies and 10 misdemeanors spread across the five cases; all the charges were filed with the court on Wednesday prior to his court appearance. × Advertisement According to multiple affidavits and incident reports filed with the court, Logan City Police officers began investigating two vehicle burglaries where wallets and other items were stolen. No damage was reported to either vehicle; one was believed to be locked whenever parked, and the other had faulty locks that didn’t function.

Tenielle Mae Jorgensen, 28, and James Tyrell Nielson, 32, were charged on Wednesday with second-degree burglary and controlled substance felonies after breaking into a home during a Sunday “adventure.” Affidavits filed with the court state Logan City Police officers were contacted by an alleged victim reporting missing items from his room. Video footage from inside the home depicts two individuals — identified later as Jorgensen and Nielson — “walking through the house and going through things.” A search warrant was executed on Jorgensen’s home and Nielson’s residence — it is unclear if they are the same location — where “narcotics, paraphernalia and stolen property” were found.

A man accused of taking an officer’s stun gun during a physical altercation with police at a hotel made his initial appearance in 1st District Court on Wednesday. Russell Duane South, 33, faces one third-degree count of disarming a police officer and five additional misdemeanors alleged to have happened on April 13. An affidavit filed with the court state Logan City Police officers responded to a report of a burglary at a hotel in Logan. South allegedly kicked in a hotel door and entered a room occupied by a single female; he was subsequently found by officers laying on the bed in the room. Police wrote officers “requested Russell to come to the door” and show his hands. After putting his hands in his pockets and being “verbally aggressive,” police wrote they believed South would resist.
