The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is , and this is what I intend to do about it. The Park Board has 2 large projects in the works totaling an estimated budget of $2.26 million. This is for the new Whisper Creek Park and a new maintenance facility located at Main Park adjacent to the current facility. It is essential that these projects are completed on budget and on time. I have been following the planning and development process of both of these projects and as commissioner I will be actively involved to be sure that we do everything possible to keep this project on time and on budget.

Completion of the first Facilities Master Plan, which included: Total renovation of Town Hall, New Fire Station, New School administration building, Kittredge School Gym, Addition to the DPW building, construction of the Anne Bradstreet Early Childhood Center
Eight years of consensus budgets brought to the floor of town meeting
Sustained AAA bond rating
Currently, we are on the verge of some major initiatives in North Andover. The Amazon project is going to be transformative for North Andover. I was part of the negotiating team that worked on the TIF and Community Agreement.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA North Andover will have two contested races in the March 30 town election: School Committee and Board of Selectmen. North Andover Patch asked candidates to answer questions about their campaigns and will be publishing candidate profiles over the coming weeks.
Janice Phillips is running for election to the Select Board. There are three people running for two available seats. Philips faces Joe Finn and incumbent Richard Vaillancourt.
Phillips is the Northern Essex Registry of Deeds director of community engagement and ran Christina Minicucci s campaign for state representative.

The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is , and this is what I intend to do about it. The single most pressing issue facing our community is the need to heal from the collective trauma of the pandemic over the past year. Our parks can play an important role in that healing. The community will be looking for the Park District to begin to offer more exercise and wellness activities at the Sachs Center, opportunities for socialization for our seniors at the Patty Turner Center, and enrichment activities for our kids. As we start to be able to make these activities available, it is also essential that every decision is based on the latest recommendations of the CDC and IDPH.
