Eyeing La Soufriere Morning Edition today, Dr. Robertson explained the impact of the mud flows in the Wallibou area.
Dr. Robertson said the lahars which occurred this week were particularly destructive, because of the material being carried down with the flow.

Another explosive event occurred at La Soufriere Volcano today, as activity associated with the eruption continues.
Head of the Volcano Monitoring Team, Geologist Professor Richard Robertson provided an update on the ongoing activity, during NBC’s
Face to Face Programme this morning.
Professor Robertson said the explosion occurred at about 8:30, and there were also pyroclastic flows associated with last night’s event. He said a pattern has emerged, in relation to the intervals between explosions.
