Tripura: One lakh new households to get water connection in next 3 months, says Jal Shakti Minister ANI | Updated: Jan 13, 2021 12:02 IST
Agartala (Tripura) [India], January 13 (ANI): Nearly one lakh new households here will get water connection in next three months, making Tripura the best-performing state under Jal Jeevan Mission, said Union Jal Shakti Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
On Tuesday, the Union Minister took part in a detailed review meeting at the state guest house on the implementation of various development projects of the Ministry of Jal Shakti in Tripura.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has assured the Tripura government of developing an integrated check post and cargo handling facility at Nischintapur, the junction point of Agartala-Akhaura rail link, near here, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb said on Wednesday.

Tripura, which has been supplying 160 MW electricity to Bangladesh for the past five years, is keen to continue providing power to the neighbouring country and has approached the Indian government to settle the formalities for the same, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma said on Friday.
