“We have nearly completed the first round of Phase 1B vaccinations. We will begin vaccinating essential workers identified in 1C while finishing up vaccinations of our 1B population. This will allow us to move to vaccinating our general population more quickly,” said Chief Operating Officer Jon Richardson of the Eastern Shore Health District in a statement.
Essential workers who qualify for vaccination under Phase 1A, 1B or 1C should seek information from their employer about a vaccination plan.
Employers who do not have a plan in place yet and have not been contacted by the Eastern Shore Health District should reach out to coordinate a vaccination clinic by calling 757-787-5880.
The health district consists of Accomack and Northampton counties. According to the Virginia Department of Health, 12,625 people have received one dose in the two counties and 7,811 people have been fully vaccinated.
