Shots fired at Sylacauga Sonic; suspect sought
Updated Mar 03, 2021;
Authorities are asking for the public’s help with information in two different shooting incidents in Sylacauga over the past 24 hours, including one at a restaurant.
About 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, said Chief Kelley Johnson, officers responded to a report of shots fired at Sonic Drive-In on Ft. Williams Street. Video obtained from the business shows a person approach from the back side of the building and walk towards the patio seating area.
Johnson said the footage shows the suspect pull a gun from his waist band and begin firing at a female standing in the patio area. Multiple rounds were fired, and the shooter fled the scene.
