Pak-US Navy Passage Exercise at Karachi port

June 11, 2021 ISLAMABAD: The United States (US) Navy Ship visited Karachi port and conducted exercise with Pakistan Navy. A spokesman for Pakistan Navy said both the countries are working to ensure safe maritime environment in the region. In the same context, USS MONTEREY (CG-61) of US Navy visited Pakistan and was received with traditional warmth at Karachi port. The overnight visit plan included call on Commander Pakistan Fleet and table top discussion on professional issues. At sea, the US and Pakistan Navy ship participated in ‘Passage Exercise’ during which various seamanship and warfare drills were conducted. Overall the visit of USS MONTEREY (CG-61) proved eventful and professionally rewarding for both the navies.

Photo courtesy Twitter KARACHI: Pakistan Navy ship Nasr arrived at the Karachi Port on Wednesday after completing a three-month-long humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) mission to the African countries. The mission was planned in line with the government of Pakistan’s policy of ‘Engage Africa’ to open new vistas of bilateral cooperation with African countries and further strengthen the bonds of friendship. During its deployment in Africa, Nasr delivered 1,000 tonnes of rice as a gift from the people of Pakistan to Djibouti, Sudan, Benin and Niger.
