Speaking on Impact Wrestling Press Pass, Tommy Dreamer revealed he is mostly in the dark when it comes to plans of crossover between the two promotions.
“When Tony Khan showed up a couple of weeks ago, first Jerry Lynn walked in and I know Jerry Lynn lived in Tennessee,” Dreamer said. “I was like, ‘Hey man, what’s going on?’ and he said, ‘Oh hi, I was just coming by to say hello.’ Later on, all of a sudden, Tony Khan came in two hours later. Then I see them, and they’re on television. If it’s not my segment, I really don’t care about it, and I want to watch it on television.”
An eight-man tag match is set for Impact Wrestling s No Surrender go-home show.
Impact Wrestling has announced that Trey Miguel, Josh Alexander, Willie Mack & Suicide vs. Chris Bey, Ace Austin, Blake Christian & Daivari will take place on Tuesday s episode of Impact. The match involves the eight participants who will be taking part in the first-ever Triple Threat Revolver match at No Surrender.
Impact noted that the Triple Threat Revolver match will be a revolving series of Triple Threat matches - three men begin, when somebody is pinned or submitted another man enters. When we get down to the final three, whoever scores the fall is the winner. The winner will become the number one contender to the X-Division Championship.
If the Good Brothers are to make it to No Surrender as Impact Tag Team Champions, they will have to get through James Storm and Chris Sabin on next Tuesday s show first.
A title match between the two teams was announced Tuesday, made after Storm and Sabin confronted Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson about a recent sneak attack. The champions said they didn t want to do the match on this week s show because they wanted to be fresh for AEW Beach Break tomorrow.
Private Party will await the winners at next Saturday s No Surrender show on Impact Plus.
Other matches and segments for next week include:
Wednesday s AEW Beach Break continues to be rounded out as a new tag team match was announced during Tony Khan s paid ad on Impact Wrestling Tuesday night.
Following Matt Hardy s management overtures to Hangman Page on last week s Dynamite, the two will team up to face Chaos Project (Serpentico and Luther).
The match was announced during the rundown as part of the aforementioned paid ad and later tweeted by Hardy who said he and Page spoke again after last week and will look to punish Chaos Project for trying to ruin -1 s birthday party.
It s the second change to the card announced Tuesday as Dark Order s John Silver and Alex Reynolds will now replace FTR in the ten team tag team battle royal for a shot at the tag team titles at Revolution.
A week after they earned the right to be the official tag team of the Inner Circle, Chris Jericho and MJF will begin their run at the AEW Tag Team Titles on the next AEW Dynamite.
The two will face the Varsity Blonds (Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr.) on Wednesday in their first outing since defeating Santana and Ortiz and Sammy Guevara and Jake Hager in a three-way. As part of an agreement within the faction, Jericho and MJF will be the ones to pursue a tag title shot.
Another new match announced Thursday was Dr. Britt Baker vs. Shanna as Baker prepares to face Thunder Rosa on the Beach Blast episode of Dynamite the following week. Baker will be looking for her fourth straight singles win dating back to late-September.
