Alex Shelley Reveals Why He Missed Impact Hard To Kill
Alex Shelley took to Twitter this afternoon and revealed that his day job as a physical therapy clinician kept him from working the recent Impact Wrestling Hard To Kill pay-per-view.
Shelley was scheduled to team with Chris Sabin and Impact World Champion Rich Swann in the Hard To Kill six-man main event, against the team that ended up winning – AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and Impact World Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers. Impact announced the day before the pay-per-view that Moose would be replacing Shelley, noting that Shelley informed them late the night before that he was unable to travel to Nashville for the pay-per-view due to unavoidable circumstances.

Alex Shelley s late scratch from the January 16th Impact Wrestling Hard To Kill pay-per-view came as a surprise as he was part of a high profile main event, teaming with Chris Sabin and Rich Swann against Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers.
However, given travel restrictions for COVID-19, most assumed the virus had something to do with him pulling out of the event the day before the show, replaced by Moose.
In a series of tweets Thursday, Shelley gave his side of the story past his initial statement of needing to err on the side of caution due to a complex situation and that he might be out of the company for some time.

“The Machine Gun” Karl Anderson jokingly announced on Monday that The Good Brothers are entering the upcoming 2021 Royal Rumble match.
Anderson, one half of the Impact World Tag Team Champions, was responding to a tweet from former WWE Head Writer Brian Gewirtz, who wondered why Superstars on RAW and SmackDown were able to “declare” themselves to be in the Royal Rumble match.
Gewirtz tweeted, “Haven’t seen Raw in a while. You can “declare” yourself to be in the Royal Rumble? Is there a reason why everybody doesn’t do this immediately? What about surprise legends? Are there multiple Doinks declaring themselves in the Rumble right now? Which Doink gets priority?!”
