THE most expensive properties sold in the Barrow area over the last year have been revealed. Property data from the Land Registry said nearly 500 homes had changed hands over 2020. Long Lane House between Barrow and Dalton was the most expensive property sold in the area. The five-bedroom home was sold for £830,000 in May. It was described as a fabulous family home that sits within generous grounds of approximately one acre of garden’. Behind that, the second most expensive house sold across the year was a four-bedroom detached property in Barrow’s Abbey Road. Number 300 on the road sold for £510,000 in January. A listing described the house as a ‘splendid individual detached residence’ in a ‘sought after residential location’.
