Central New York auto parts maker sets new dates for closing, layoffs

Auburn, N.Y. BCS Automotive Interface Solutions is delaying the closing of its factory near Auburn and the permanent layoffs of its workforce, but not for long.
The auto parts manufacturer had set the closing of its factory in Aurelius for Feb. 28, 2021, with layoffs starting today.
But in a notice filed with the state Department of Labor under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act this week, the company said the closing will occur April 9 and the layoffs of 123 workers will begin March 19.
