GRAPEVINE, Texas XL Parts L.P. Chief Operating Officer Frank Garcia recently received the Pronto Network Executive of the Year, presented annually to an individual who best demonstrates dedication and commitment to the program group and fellow members.
The award winner also must demonstrate a commitment to support and enhance efforts on behalf of all members through volunteering time and effort for everyone s benefit.
Mr. Garcia received the award during the Automotive Parts Services Group (The Group) national conference and expo, held virtually.
Robert Roos, president of the Pronto Network, lauded Mr. Garcia for his service as Pronto chairman of the board and his tireless efforts to facilitate the merger to form the Pronto Network.

MONTREAL The Automotive Industries Association (AIA) of Canada has named Vast Auto Distribution President and CEO Mauro Cifelli its 2021 Distinguished Service Award winner.
The honor is AIA Canada s highest award, presented annually to an outstanding individual within association membership. Mauro is an incredible industry leader and a fantastic selection for this distinguished honor, said Joey Miceli, chief operating officer at Vast. Mauro is very quick to praise and recognize others. We are very proud to see him receiving this recognition.
The AIA Distinguished Service Award is presented in recognition of distinguished service and outstanding leadership given to the growth and development of Canada s automotive aftermarket industry. Criteria for the award include outstanding leadership, community service and personal contribution to the growth and progress of the aftermarket.

LEESBURG, Va. The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) has selected Mark Polke of Robert Bosch L.L.C. as its chairman for 2021, succeeding Bobby Bassett, the recently retired Gates Corp. executive.
Mr. Polke is director of Bosch Workshop Concepts, North America. Mr. Bassett will remain on the board of directors as past chair.
Other officers selected for 2021 include:
Brad Pellman, president, Pellman s Automotive, vice chairman;
Homer Hogg, director, technical services, Travel Centers of America, treasurer; and
Brian Szalk, vice president, planner, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, secretary. Our leadership board is instrumental in helping ASE continue to provide exceptional service to our industry and they help us provide high-quality certification programs that automotive professionals can use to show their expertise and knowledge, ASE President and CEO Tim Zilke said.
