There’s more that can make EACOP a better infrastructure July 7, 2021 President Museveni signs the oil agreements On April 11, 2021, there was excitement at State House in Entebbe as key project agreements for the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) were signed. Three tripartite agreements were signed which included the Uganda Host Government Agreement (HGA), the Shareholders Agreement (SHA), and the Tariff and Transportation Agreement (TTA). The shareholders in the EACOP project are the Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC); the joint venture partners (Total Energies and Cnooc Uganda Limited); and the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC). The Tanzania Host Government Agreement was signed on May 20 2021. This paved way for the construction of the pipeline.
