THOMASVILLE, Ga. â The human remains recovered by the Thomas County Sheriffâs Office and the Thomasville Georgia Bureau of Investigation office in April have been identified as a Moultrie woman missing since late 2018.
Tracie Gleason, in her 50s, was reported missing to the Moultrie Police Department on Nov. 30, 2018.
The remains were found April 18 on property off Ga. 188 near Coolidge by a man interested in purchasing the land. The Thomas County Sheriff s Office is waiting on the official cause of death from the GBI crime lab. This office is also waiting on reports from the GBI and the FBI crime labs on the evidence that have been submitted to both, said Capt. Tim Watkins, sheriff s office chief investigator.

THOMAS CO., Ga. (WALB) - A Thomas County man has pleaded guilty to drug trafficking after a dog found a bag containing a large quantity of methamphetamine, according to a press release from Peter D. Leary, acting U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Georgia.
Timothy Bernard Reese, 44, of Meigs, pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine before U.S. District Judge Hugh Lawson on Thursday.

A man in Thomas County, Ga. got busted for drug possession after his neighbor’s dog found his stash of methamphetamine.
The dog had reportedly come home carrying a suspicious brown bag in its mouth, leading to a further investigation as to where the illegal contents may have come from.
WSB-TV news reports how the anonymous owner of the dog notified the Thomas County Sheriff’s Office that he discovered a large amount of the drugs (later confirmed to be nearly 155 grams of meth) as well as lottery tickets inside the bag his pooch had come home with.
