Lebanon is expected to receive enough COVID-19 vaccine doses to inoculate 50 percent of its population in 2021.
“We are committed to measures so that 80 percent of citizens receive the vaccine. The quantities of vaccines that will gradually arrive in our country this year are sufficient to vaccinate 50 percent of citizens,” head of Lebanon’s Doctors Syndicate Sharaf Abu Sharaf confirmed Monday. The remaining doses will be received next year in the hope that we will reach community immunity by mid-2021, he added.
