The Tanzania Baseball and Softball Association (TaBSA) has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dar Es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE) which will see baseball for the blind introduced at the college.
Ahmed Makata, President of the TaBSA, and DUCE principal Stephen Oswald Maluka signed the MoU.
Maluka expressed a desire for DUCE to become a hub for athletes with visual impairments at the signing ceremony.
The MoU will see students given the opportunity to take up baseball for the blind.
An introductory course designed to acquaint national governing bodies with baseball for the blind was added to the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Academy in November.
