Water main break causes outages in Fort Myers neighborhoods
According to Councilwoman Darla Bonk, the water main break impacted Reflection Isles, Arborwood and Marina Bay.
Outages were also reported in the Botanica Lakes and Paseo neighborhoods.
Frontline city staff responded to the areas affected. According to Councilwoman Bonk, the water main break has been fixed and water service has been restored, as of 7:50 a.m.
It’s unclear what caused the water main break or what the full extent of the damage is.

The City of Fort Myers confirms there was a water main break west of I-75 in Fort Myers Monday morning. It continues to affect several businesses and communities in the area.
According to the City, crews with the public works department are in the process of repairing a 24-inch water main break near the interstate. It’s considered to be in an isolated area.
The City advises water being used for drinking, cooking, ice making, brushing teeth or washing dishes be boiled while the break is under repair.
