Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man today entered not guilty pleas to charges stemming from a major drug bust in the city earlier this year.
25-year-old Dahir Omar Dahir was driving a car stopped for speeding on Elton Hills Drive in early February. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of thousands of suspected oxycodone pills. The criminal complaint indicates the total weight of the nearly 6000 pills was almost 685 grams with a street value approaching $180,000.

Court documents indicate the drugs were similar to the pills involved in multiple recent drug overdose deaths in southeastern Minnesota. The blue pills had an M and 30 stamped on the opposite side.
The vaccination drive kicks off the state’s next vaccination phase, which includes grocery and agricultural workers, people over 60 and anyone with two or more pre-existing conditions that put them at higher risk for COVID-19 complications. Around 2,545 workers were vaccinated at the JBS Greeley plant by 1:30 p.m. Friday.
