City Looking Good as Road and Signal Work Continues
Lots of road, signal and water line work is happening around the city of Yakima as the summer months approach. City officials say traffic will be disrupted and restricted on Friday at the intersection of 40th Avenue and Lincoln to replace a damaged traffic signal pole base. They say the northbound curb lane will be closed during the project from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The pole base to be replaced is at the northeast corner of the intersection.
City crews are also busy Friday with water line work. The work is causing traffic restrictions on South 3rd Avenue between Walnut Street and Chestnut Avenue Friday June 4th. Work on the project will begin at 7:00 a.m. and last until 3:30 p.m.
If your commute takes you to the intersection of 3rd Street and Staff Sgt. Pendleton Way you might want to find a different route to where you are driving.
