3 New Oklahoma Abortion Bills Draw Support, Criticism Governor Kevin Stitt signed three bills that will limit abortion access in Oklahoma. A reproductive rights group said these laws are just a waste of taxpayer dollars and are dangerous, while the governor said he s keeping his Pro-life promise to those who elected him. We want to be the most pro-life state in the country, and I m proud to be the most pro-life governor, said Governor Kevin Stitt. Stitt signed three bills into law that restrict abortions. House Bill 2441 said doctors cannot perform abortions after a heartbeat has been detected and if they do, they could be charged with homicide.
