ST. CHARLES, IL Lazarus House is set to receive about $132,000 in federal coronavirus-relief funding passed on by Kane County to support its shelter and services for people in need of housing.
The Kane County Board recently approved about $3.05 million in relief for 32 nonprofits. The Tri City Health Partnership in St. Charles stands to get $15,100.
Hesed House, the second-largest homeless shelter in Illinois, will receive $791,000 from the county s $93 million allocation from the federal CARES Act. That funding will help the Aurora organization winterize a makeshift shelter to house more than 100 people during the winter months.
