Markets are likely to open on a positive note on the first day of the new fiscal, despite uncertainty over economic recovery and rising number of Covid-19 cases continuing to weigh on investors’ minds. The SGX Nifty at 14,857 indicates that the Nifty may open with a gain of about 100 points. The Nifty April futures on Wednesday closed at 14,752 on the NSE. High corporate tax rate in the US by Biden administration will also impact market sentiment, both at the global and domestic levels.
Auto stocks will be in focus as auto companies will start announcing monthly sales numbers for March starting from today, 1 April 2021.
NTPC informed that consequent upon successful commissioning and due approvals, first part capacity of 70 MW of 85 MW Bilhaur Solar PV Project at Bilhaur, Uttar Pradesh, is declared on Commercial Operation with effect from 28 March 2021. With this, the commissioned as well as commercial capacity of NTPC and NTPC group has become 51725 MW and 64490 MW respectively.
Hindustan Aeronautics recorded a revenue in excess of Rs. 22,700 crores (provisional and unaudited) for the financial year ended on March 31, 2021. The corresponding figure for the previous year stood at Rs. 21,438 crores. The company has posted a revenue growth of around 6% in FY 2020-21.
Likhitha Infrastructure jumped 8.35% to Rs 346 after the company said it has received total orders/contracts worth Rs. 234.85 crores during the quarter ended 31 March 2021.
The company bagged a Rs 169.47 crore order for cross-country pipeline laying and related works. The EPC company also bagged a Rs 30.75 crore for city gas distribution pipeline and related works.
Furthermore, the company also received a contract of Rs 34.63 crore from Indian Oil Adani Gas for laying Pipeline from Thrissur Geographical Area to Ernakulam Geographical Area.
