It’s been one year since we began to feel the effects of COVID-19 in our community, and leaders from a North Alabama church tell us they couldn’t let this time go by without taking a moment to step back and honor all the lives lost.

The financial devastation has been felt across the board, but small businesses have been especially impacted.

For some people living on the streets, thereâs skepticism about getting the COVID-19 vaccination.
âSome people donât care, or they really donât believe in the virus,â said Paris Avila while standing outside a homeless encampment in Denver, Colorado. A lot of people believe in hoaxes and government and stuff like that. A lot of people think it s control to kill people off.
Now, some religious leaders are working to change that by opening the doors to their places of worship and turning them into vaccination sites.
