Peter R. Heesch, 86, of Fort Dodge passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Trinity Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 19th at 10:30 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Burial will be at North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife Pam of Fort Dodge, daughters Rae Ressler of Fort Dodge, Julie Prewitt of Fort Dodge, son Neil Heesch of CA, stepson Jay Ricke of Fort Dodge, 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, sisters Mibbs Heesch of AZ, Kate Carmean of OK, brother Sam (Fay) Heesch of ID, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance has added two new members to its board of directors this year, bringing on Kelly Hindman and Mike McCarville.
Hindman has served as VP of Campus Support Services at Friendship Haven for more than three years. A native of Dayton, he previously served in the Iowa State Patrol for nearly 29 years, retiring as a district commander in December 2016.
“It was quite a transition, but in odd ways, they’re similar in that they’re both helping people,” he said.
