The BJP is moving one step closer to fulfilling its vision on Gairsain through administration changes.
The declaration of Gairsain as the third commissionerate has seen the Congress and the AAP opposing the move.
Last week, the Trivendra Singh Rawat-led government in Uttarakhand made an announcement. Gairsain was declared a new administrative division of the state, a third commissionerate.
A commissioner and a DIG will be deployed in Gairsain.
The âsurpriseâ announcement (as how a section of the media sees it) has come after Garsain was declared as Uttarakhand s summer capital last year. The mandal is an assimilation of two districts each from Garhwal mandal and Kumaon mandal. These are: Almora and Bageshwar (in Kumaon) and Rudrapyarag and Chamoli (in Garhwal).

On Thursday amid the Budget session, Pritam Singh along with other party workers had staged a sit-in protest with the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders over the increase in prices, at the entrance of the House in Gairsain.
The Uttarakhand assembly met in Gairsain on March 1 for its first session of this year.

In December 2020, the âYamkeshwar Expressâ was unveiled in Uttarakhand s Pauri Garhwal region. This small milestone marked a new beginning. Many children living in Yamkeshwar had never seen a train, just as others living in the region.
Work on the ambitious
Yognagri-Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail project is ongoing in the cradle of tough geographies, and trains are a thing of fantasy even today.
So, when the children got the first glimpse of the gorgeous new âYamkeshwar Expressâ, they became pretty thrilled. The blue of its compartments is particularly appealing. It is stationary, yet it is ready to leave for other stations.

The party would be aiming for 60 out of 70 seats in the state in the next Assembly elections â a task that understandably depends on the work and coordination in the organisational structure across levels.
Bharatiya Janata Party national president JP Nadda began his 120-day national tour across India from Uttarakhand last week.
On a tour to strengthen the party organisation and induce confidence in workers across several districts, Nadda met party workers, social media volunteers and senior party leaders of the state in Dehradun.
