Doctor among 4 new Zika cases reported in Kerala | Thiruvananthapuram News

All the 23 cases have been reported from the Thiruvananthapuram so far.(Representative image) THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Four more Zika cases have been reported from the state capital taking the total to 23. The latest case has been reported on a 38-year-old doctor working with a private hospital,16-year-old girl from Karikkakom, 35-year-old from the coastal hamlet of Poonthura and a-41-year-old woman from Sasthamangalam in the city. Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan said there is nothing to worry since the diseases is not dangerous. However steps are on to contain the spread and mosquito eradication is the only solution for this. Hence necessary directions have been given to the local self-government bodies to ensure this, he added.
