Image Source: IANS News Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 22 : The Kerala High Court on Friday granted conditional bail to the 35-year-old woman who was arrested following a complaint by her minor son that she has been sexually assaulting him. Justice S. Shirsy granted her bail on a Rs 1 lakh security bond and called upon the government to constitute a special investigation team headed by a woman IPS officer. The court also directed the government to constitute a special medical board drawn from doctors of Thiruvananthapuram Medical College as the prosecution had in its petition appealed that the child was suffering from several physical and mental issues.

Neyyatinkara MLA K Ansalan, Koyilandi MLA K Dasan, Kollam MLA M Mukesh and Peerumade MLA E S Bijimol are the legislators who have tested positive. ES Bijimol, the first among the lot to be detected with COVID-19 two days ago, is currently in quarantine at her hometown.

The vaccination drive was carried out in nine centres, the district administration said. Forty-eight persons were vaccinated at the District Hospital, Nedumangad; 66 at the Taluk Hospital, Vithura; and 57 persons at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital. The vaccination were also carried out at the NIMS Medicity (62), Taluk Hospital, Parassala (60), Women and Children Hospital, Thycaud (53), Family Health Centre, Pangappara (77), KIMS Hospital (54), and Sree Gokulam Medical College (50). The exercise will continue on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Healthcare workers care being innoculated in the first phase.
