The new food court has 42 stalls which are connected to a reverse osmosis water treatment plan HASSAN: People of Hassan can now look forward to eating out in hygienic place, for the authorities have opened a food court in the heart of the city. The street-food facility is also helping traffic police manage traffic better on main roads and junctions by freeing them of street food vendors. The new food court, located on Salagame Road opposite to Sahyadri theatre, has 42 stalls which are connected to a reverse osmosis water treatment plant. “An interceptor vehicle is being deployed there between 4pm and 8pm to manage traffic, while two traffic policemen are deployed to streamline vehicle parking. All this will ensure better experience of eating out for the people of the city. The same will be extended to the MG Road Food Court when it starts working,” said Hassan city inspector Renukaprasad.
