Troy moving forward with fire station's replacement

Troy moving forward with fire station s replacement FacebookTwitterEmail TROY Mayor Patrick Madden and Fire Chief Eric McMahon announced the city will conduct an architectural assessment and feasibility study for the replacement of Fire Station #1 located in the city’s Lansingburgh neighborhood. The replacement project was a priority for the Madden administration, but plans were delayed due to the pandemic, according to a statement released Thursday by the mayor s office. The study will determine current and future operational requirements, firefighter health and safety, and code and industry standards for fire houses. It will also evaluate two proposed sites for the new station, including the current location on 5th Ave. and a new proposed site located at 2nd Avenue and 117th Street.
