Video from a shoplifting at a liquor store back in November 2020 has raised some questions about the investigation into that incident by the Greenville Police Department, documents obtained by WYFF News 4 reveal.The incident was reviewed by the department s Internal Affairs division, which recommended discipline. Greenville police Chief J.H. Thompson chose instead to use it as a lesson, according to those documents.Back on Nov. 23, 2020, police said Timothy Boykin and Dedravas Moore walked out of 19 Wine and Spirits off Verdae Boulevard in Greenville without paying for seven bottles of liquor, according to the store owner.Surveillance video obtained by WYFF News 4 shows the two men walking up to the front of the store, holding bottles. There seems to be an exchange of words with the store owner before they walk toward the door and run out. The owner chases them out with a baseball bat, according to the video.
