33 Tidy Towns groups in Kerry have received funding.
To coincide with the launch of the 2021 Supervalu Tidy Towns competition, groups have received funding of €1,000 each.
Kerry Fine Gael TD and Deputy Government Chief Whip Brendan Griffin is welcoming the return of the competition, saying many Tidy Towns groups worked safely through the pandemic to keep their neighbourhoods clean.

Kerry businesses are being encouraged to apply for the latest Online Retail Scheme.
Under this scheme, retailers with a physical store and a pre-existing online presence can apply for grant funding of up to €40,000 to achieve business continuity.
A new round of the COVID-19 Online Retail Scheme worth €5 million has been launched, to help Irish businesses to improve their competitiveness in online retail.

Grants can be used to help retailers develop their online presence.
Successful applicants will receive a grant ranging from €10,000-€40,000, covering up to 80% of project costs.
The Online Retail Scheme opened for applications this week and closes on Tuesday, May 25th.

Over €2 million in funding has been announced for rural regeneration in South Kerry.
The grant will deliver a state-of-the-art Digital Hub to provide workspace for up to 50 people in the Iveragh Gaeltacht in Ballinskelligs.
The Hub will provide remote learning and upskilling programmes, support small businesses to develop and expand and provide remote working space for the surrounding region.
The funding is being provided under the €1 Billion Rural Regeneration and Development Fund.

The purpose of the fund is to support job creation, address de-population of rural communities and support improvements in towns and villages with a population of less than 10,000 as well as outlying areas.
