Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi reviews best sports practices at SPOC
SHARJAH, 19th April, 2021 (WAM) Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Council, has highlighted the remarkable role of media entities in the emirate of Sharjah in shedding light on the capabilities of government entities and supporting their development journey through its media outlets.
He affirmed that the Emirate of Sharjah embraces competencies, talented cadres and modern facilities that undertake to serve the community based on the proactive efforts and future plans.
This came during a visit by Sharjah Media Council’s members to Sharjah Police Officers Club (SPOC) on Sunday including Dr Khalid Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Media City (SHAMS); Mohammed Hassan Khalaf, Director-General of Sharjah Broadcasting Authority; Tariq Saeed Allay, Director of Sharjah Government Media Bureau; and Hassan Yacoub Al Mansouri, Secretary-General of the Sharjah Media Council.
Sharjah: Sharjah Police have prepared a comprehensive security plan for Ramadan.
Brigadier General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, chaired a meeting on Sunday evening to define the security preparations of the Sharjah Police General Command for Ramadan. Brigadier General Ahmad Al Serkal, Director General of Police Operations, and Brigadier Dr. Ahmad Saeed Al Naour Director General of Central Operations, and a number of specialised directors of departments were present at the meeting.
The meeting discussed the readiness of the competent departments, reviewing their security plans designed to enhance preventive and comprehensive security measures at the emirate level, in a way that guarantees the achievement of security and safety.
Sharjah: The Sharjah Police drones helped ‘foil’ a robbery attempt and ‘save’ a drowning person off a beach in record time.
In a simulated exercise on Sunday, March 14, the police carried out a drill to test the efficacy of drones in real-life. The scenarios tested the security readiness and challenges. The drill was held at the Special Task Force headquarters in Al Zahia. A number of police senior officers attended the drill.
Brigadier General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, witnessed scenarios that simulate the real-life scenarios that the drones team were assigned. He pointed out that the most important characteristic of the scenarios were implemented in perfect harmony. The drill demonstrated the capabilities of the team and innovative modern technologies to deal with different events.
