RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - Inquiry into Rawalpindi Ring Road scandal has been completed which revealed that the original Ring Road map was changed, Dunya News reported on Monday. According to sources, the changes in the Rawalpindi Ring Road project had allegedly been made after the intervention of influential personalities whose lands were coming in the route of original map. Prime Minister Imran Khan while taking notice of the alleged changes in the re-alignment of the Rawalpindi Ring Road project had ordered an inquiry into the matter. The alleged changes in ring road project would have increased the cost of up to Rs25 billion.

Fruits, vegetables prices being monitored regularly, says DC Islamabad April 26, 2021 Rawalpindi : Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Captain (r) Anwar-ul-Haq said that strict action would be taken against shopkeepers and retailers who would not follow the government’s directives and will resort to exploitative means such as hoarding, profiteering, and adulteration. He directed all his subordinates to ensure the provision of essential supplies for the general public at government-approved rates. Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Captain (r) Anwar-ul-Haq urged the shopkeepers to display the lists in front of their shops. The deputy commissioner made it clear that fruits, vegetables, and other commodities would be monitored particularly in Ramazan and the vendors would be dealt with iron hands who were involved in creating an artificial shortage.

National April 12, 2021 Rawalpindi: The tenders of Rawalpindi Ring Road Project (RRRP) would be opened after April 27 which is last date to submit bids for the project. A Commissioner Office spokesman on Sunday informed this agency that newly appointed Commissioner Rawalpindi Division, Gulzar Hussain Shah after taking charge of his office chaired a meeting here to review progress on the project. He also visited track of RRR and said that the project would be completed on fast track basis. The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Captain (r) Anwar ul Haq, Director General Rawalpindi Development Authority, Abdul Sattar Isani, Deputy Project Director, Muhammad Abdullah and other officers concerned.
