His services were terminated by the government. Special Public Prosecutor (Vigilance) Ashutosh Mishra has been remanded for possession of disproportionate assets worth Rs.75,65,682. His services have been terminated by the govt, said the Vigilance Directorate, Cuttack on Friday.
This comes two days after the Vigilance Directorate on Wednesday intercepted a sub-inspector of Golamunda police station with Rs 2 lakh.
The identified sub-inspector named Ugrasen Patel was intercepted near the Golamunda bus stand in his motorcycle while he was heading towards the police station carrying the suspected ill-gotten money.

Former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa IGP Nasir Durrani passed away due to Covid-19 in Lahore on Monday, police officials confirmed to
Dawn.com.
According to Lahore CCPO spokesperson Rana Arif, Durrani was on ventilator at the Mayo Hospital in Lahore for over a week after developing complications from Covid-19.
Durrani had assumed the office of inspector general of KP Police in 2013. The former police chief was most noted for taking strict action against officers accused of negligence in their duties, including Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) and acting Superintendents of Police (SPs), who were removed from service on account of misconduct.

Rawalpindi:Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rai Mazhar Iqbal on Monday directed traffic wardens of the Rawalpindi City Traffic Police (CTP) to accelerate the ongoing campaign against tinted glass vehicles.
In view of the security situation, a comprehensive campaign was launched against vehicles with tinted glasses, terming it a security risk, said CTO. He said all the wardens, beat in-charges, sector in-charges and Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) had been directed to take strict action against vehicles with tinted glasses without any discrimination.
He stressed that no one would be allowed to violate traffic rules, saying that the campaign would be made effective and result-oriented to ensure law and order in the city in the wake of Pakistan Day, March 23.The CTO further stated that special campaigns were also launched in the past to educate commuters about the observance of traffic rules which are meant for th
