NEW HANOVER â The May 18 primary may be the only opportunity voters have to select the new member of the New Hanover Board of supervisors.
Board Vice Chairman Charles D. Garner Jr. is not running to reelection and the two men running to replace him â both former police officers â are both running as Republicans.
No Democrat has registered to run for the seat in November.

MUSKEGON COUNTY, Mich. The Muskegon County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday voted 5-4 to extend its local state of emergency allowing the county board of commissioners to hold meetings virtually.
