ATHOL Health Agent Deb Vondal on Tuesday provided an update to Board of Health regarding the status of the ongoing pandemic in Athol.
Board Vice Chair Joan Hamlett asked Vondal if, in light of the success of a recent community-wide testing event, another such testing effort is in the offing.
“There will not be another one-day testing open to the general public,” said Vondal, “but there will be a Stop the Spread testing site established here in Athol.
“However, that will specifically be for day care providers, staff, and I think also family members, and then also school staff. I don’t have a lot of details on this yet because it’s still in the works. But we have been Athol definitely has been designated as a site. In fact, on the governor’s press release, it was announced that we would be a Stop the Spread site.”
