Parole board denies release for convicted Solano rapist
VALLEJO A California parole board this week denied the release of a man who was convicted in 1995 of attempted murder and rape and sentenced to 63 years in prison by a Solano County Superior Court judge.
Renako Ayers was denied parole Wednesday, the Solano County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement released Thursday.
Chief Deputy District Attorney Sharon Henry opposed Ayers’ release at the hearing, arguing he “poses a high risk for future violence if released on parole,” the statement said.
The Parole Board denied his request, “finding that he does currently pose an unreasonable risk to the community should he be released,” the statement said.
