Empower s district cooling building numbers up 6pc in 2020 DUBAI, 24 days ago Empower said its diversified portfolio covers all the major sectors in Dubai, with the residential sector maintaining the top position in the list of company s clients by 64%, followed by the commercial sector with 15%.    The hospitality sector has increased its share from 13% to 14% in 2020 and the healthcare sector has a share of 3%. The other major sectors such as educational, industrial, and retail sectors together held the remaining 4%, said the statement from the company.     Empower said over the one-year period, it had provided its services to many iconic projects in Dubai, most notably of which is Ain Dubai, the world’s tallest observation wheel that stands on the Bluewaters Island and also three stations in the Route 2020 of Dubai Metro.

Dubai Municipality, MBRSC to launch region’s first environmental nanometric satellite on 20 March DUBAI, 10th March, 2021 (WAM) Dubai Municipality, in collaboration with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC), has announced that it is preparing to launch the DMSat-1 satellite, the region’s first environmental nanometric satellite, on 20th March, 2021. The launch is part of a high-technology project undertaken to develop solutions to environmental challenges and address climate change. The satellite will be launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. The rocket will be launched at 9:07 am Moscow time (10:07 am UAE time). The satellite is expected to separate from the launch vehicle into its orbit at 2:20 pm (UAE Time), and send its first signal at 3:00 pm (UAE Time).

Simon Penney, UK Trade Commissioner for the Middle East and Consul General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, attended the meeting. Both parties discussed bilateral cooperation on energy and water. During the visit, both Graham Stuart and Saeed Al Tayer inaugurated the electric vehicle charging station at the Embassy. Al Tayer reaffirmed the strong relations between the UK and the UAE. The meeting discussed ways to increase cooperation, and the contribution of British companies to energy and water projects in Dubai and the UAE. It also discussed aspects of strategic cooperation
