CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The husband and son-in-law of the people killed in a January double shooting in the 500 block of Westwood Drive in the Sango area has been charged with two counts of criminal homicide.
Detectives with the Clarksville Police Department’s Special Operations Homicide Unit have arrested 31-year-old Matthew Konen in the shooting death of his wife, 30-year-old Rachel Konen and her father, 62-year-old David Rodgers.
The incident happened around 6:40 p.m. on Jan. 20, and was believed to be an isolated incident.
The information from Detective Michael Patterson during the initial investigation revealed that this was not a murder-suicide, but until now, the circumstances of their deaths had not been known.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Two men have been charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping in a 2017 home invasion on Hundred Oaks Drive that left one dead.
Last month, the grand jury indicted Mathew Kenneth Bryan, 36, of Clarksville, and Timothy Labrone Williams, II, 30, in the shooting death of 34-year-old Christopher Lane, according to court records obtained by Clarksville Now.

According to Clarksville Detective Michael Patterson, Williams was arrested on April 22 in Spring, Texas by the US Marshals, and then extradited back to Clarksville Tuesday and served with the indictment.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A Fort Campbell soldier recently rescued a man who was drowning in the Cumberland River.
Cpl. Brad Dardas said he was sitting in his car near the boat dock on Riverside Drive on Saturday, April 18, when he saw what appeared to be a person in the water about 90 feet out.
“I saw this guy’s head bobbing in the water and thought, ‘What kind of weirdo is swimming in the river? ” Dardas told Clarksville Now.
After realizing something was wrong, Dardas followed along the bank, trying to coach the man back to shore. When those efforts failed, he swam out to assist.

Clarksville police and federal authorities are investigating alleged child exploitation involving a former school nurse at Clarksville Northeast High School.
The nurse was employed at the school from August of 2018 until November of 2019, according to Detective Michael Patterson, who says the employee was terminated when investigation led to charges of exploitation of a minor.
Federal law enforcement is currently contacting other potential victims and no other information has been released by police.
The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System issued its own statement, saying the district is “fully cooperating with CPD as they investigate these heinous crimes.”
