Volcano Seismologist, Roderick Stewart said the Monitoring Team has observed that the volcano has been releasing more than one thousand tonnes of Sulphur Dioxide gas into the atmosphere.
He said there needs to be further analysis of the volcanic activity before there can be a total relaxation.

Unicomer (St. Lucia) Limited led the charge immediately following the first eruption, sending emergency supplies to the Unicomer St Vincent staff. Managing Director, Mr. Vincent Gordon stated that, “Following the eruption, we rushed to ensure that the needs of our team members were met, quickly shipping disaster supplies for them and their families. However, we couldn’t stop there. Our Courts brands have been a part of the Kingstown community for years. We felt compelled to act, and solicited extended support from a key sister company in the Caribbean.”
