Monday marked the first of two expansions this month of those who are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine.
Those in groups eligible for the vaccine starting Monday include transportation workers and several other groups who can now schedule shots, though appointments remain hard to get.
“We don’t even have to make that assumption, given the bill’s own safety nets,” Logan Churchwell, director of research for the Public Interest Legal Foundation, told The Washington Times. “Noncitizens are already coming through on a voluntary system nationwide.
“Every foreign national with a visa and a need ranging from a driver’s license to public college credits bears the risk of automatically becoming registered to vote without their permission,” Mr. Churchwell said. “Universal automatic registration carries risks of system failure for citizens and immigrants alike.”
The bill’s backers point out that citizenship status is among the information federal agencies must provide in theory removing the possibility of unlawful voting.

The email addresses of more than 900 Walworth County residents were unintentionally disclosed last month because of an error by the countyâs Department of Health & Human Services staff, county officials announced.
The error occurred when two staff members sent emails on Feb. 16, 24 and 25 to 907 people who were eligible for COVID-19 vaccinations, according to a news release.
The emails directed recipients to follow a link to schedule their COVID-19 vaccinations.
The recipientsâ email addresses were entered on the âToâ line of the email instead of the âBcc,â or âblind carbon copy,â line. This allowed each recipient to view the email addresses of everyone who received the emails.

One year after the start of the pandemic, over 2.8 million New Jersey residents have received the coronavirus vaccine as the state continues a widespread rollout in which the demand for vaccine appointments still greatly outweighs the current supply of shots.
Teachers and daycare workers were recently added to the list of eligible vaccine recipients alongside healthcare professionals, first responders, people over the age of 65, and those with chronic health conditions.
Over 600 Target Stores Are Now Offering COVID-19 Vaccines
It s very hopeful to see more and more places begin to offer vaccines for COVID-19, and now Target has just become the latest site to help get us closer to the finish line of this pandemic.
The retailer announced that they partnered with CVS Pharmacy to offer vaccines at over 600 U.S. stores that have a CVS inside them. Prior to the pandemic, people were already able to get shots for the flu, shingles, and pneumonia through CVS at Target, so it only makes sense to also make the COVID vaccine accessible.
